Os 2008 4.2008.30 available OTA

A new update for Nokia Os 2008 is available for Nokia N810 (and I suppose N800 too).

All you have to do is connect to Internet, refresh package list and install the updates.

The main application that have been updated are Mail client and web browser. Map application has been updated too.

The total size to download is about 19 Mb and for the first time, no re-flash is required to update N810 firmware. At the end of the installation you're only required to restart the device.

This is *very* important. If 19MB isn't available, the updates (and application updates) will fail -- creating a bunch of broken dependencies, etc.

Jordan: try to reflash the firmware. I hope you had a backup of your data files :(

Does this update work from any version, or is there a minimum version that must be already running? I don't know the diff between diablo & chinook or whatever (or how to tell if I have any of them); all I know is that I could not find a way to update since I don't have a windoze box. Now you say this OTA update is available (yay!) but how can I find out what it works on and whether or not my Nokia 810 will take it OK, rather than just mess up its existing OS?

Check if you have at least 19 Mb free.
